Although binge drinkers are not considered alcoholics (because there is no physical addiction involved), binge drinking can become a dangerous activity to both the drinker and those around them. Binge drinking is defined as more than four drinks for women and five drinks for men within a sitting, usually about two hours. Binge drinkers are at higher risk of engaging in violent or risky behavior that may often involve the police. Binge drinking usually results in a terrible hangover the next day, often causing a loss of productivity.
