Bullying used to happen primarily on the playground, but now it can be done all too easily online. Pew’s 2017 study reported that 41% of Americans has personally experienced online harassment. Two-thirds of them had witnessed abusive or harassing behavior online towards others.
Types of Online Harassment
Although the harassment happens to all age groups, it’s especially prevalent in adolescents and teens. Over half of adolescents and teens have been bullied online and over half of these young people don’t tell their parents the bullying is happening.
