2020 was a really difficult year for many, but that wasn’t the case for some of the major toy brands out there on the market. So, how much did the top toy brands make in 2020? From the team at Playground Equipment comes this infographic that looks at how much 20 major toy brands made in 2020. While MGA Entertainment Inc. sits at the top of this list with $9.15, there are four others who made more than $4.5 billion in 2020, including LEGO with $6.99 billion, Bandai Namco at $6.8 million, Hasbro at $5.47 billion and Mattel with $4.6 billion. Both Mattel and Hasbro had great representation on this list of 20 major and profitable toy brands with five each.

For Hasbro, 2020 saw great years for some of their popular toy brands like Monopoly making $1.76 billion, Nerf making $400m million, Magic: The Gathering bringing in $581.2 million and the classic Hot Wheels brand making $446.6 million. Mattel’s great representation on this list saw 2020 as a great year for their toy brands like American Girl making $51.4 million, Fisher-Price generating $1.07 billion, Barbie making $1.35 billion and Mega Brands making $1.08 billion.

On this list of 20 major toy brands that made a lot of money in 2020, 95% of them made at least $350 million. It’s also no surprise LEGO sits near the top of the list, as the company has produced one of the most popular toy brands ever since it was founded nearly 100 years ago in 1932.
