NapLab conducted a survey revealing surprising insights into what body parts and features are most attractive to Americans across the country. The survey included 1,012 Americans in all 50 states, leading to the creation of a map showing regional attraction to body parts. Their findings suggest that culture, climate, and environment can shape what we’re attracted to. The methodology used was very simple. Participants answered three questions to share which body part they’re most attracted to, their gender, and which state they live in. This data showed us clear patterns in preference among genders and surprising variations based on region. The data defies some of the things we might assume we know about attraction and beauty standards. We can see that across the country, 25.82% of men are most attracted to buttocks, and 20.60% prefer breasts. Women seem to prefer features that express personality, with 26.10% most attracted to faces and 26.09% attracted to eyes. This underscores research that’s shown that women prioritize emotional connection in a relationship. The graphic shows us that region truly does seem to play a part in attraction. This might be due to several different reasons that could inspire future studies on culture and attraction.
