The New Deal On Student Loans

Recently, President Obama announced a new plan for student loans and the severe debt it has put students in. Obviously, more needs to be done, but it’s a start. This infographic illustrates the strategies that Obama has implemented or improved along with thoughts that go beyond the new deal, especially about students.

  1. The data is flawed. The five institutions with the lowest debt tend to cater to and attract more students who are so wealthy that they do not need or cannot get student loans. Averaged out by population, of course it would look like students of those universities accumulate less debt.
