This year has brought us the latest Star Trek movie. Star Trek Beyond. Feeling a rush of inspiration we thought we’d take a look back at the Women of Star Trek, the past series and see where they are now.
Where Are They Now? The Women of Star Trek
- Nyota Uhura (Nichelle Nichols)
Uhura is an iconic character and one we had to include in this list. Nichelle has since appeared in Heroes, Family Guy and Renegades. - Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby)
Since being Tasha Yar, Denise has been busy with appearances in series such as The Walking Dead, Ray Donovan, Southland, Mad Men, Bones, Dexter, Castle and Law&Order: LA. - Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis)
Marina is still in the Sci-Fi genre with appearances in the Mass Effect game as well as Star Trek Continues. Also appearing in Adventure Time, Young Justice, Grey’s Anatomy, and NCIS. - Jadzia Dax (Terry Farrell)
Aside from her work as Dax, Terry is most well known for Reggie in Becker. She is now acting beside Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) in Renegades after a 13-year break. - Kira Nerys (Nana Visitor)
Nana has most recently appeared in the film Ted 2, Family Guy en Castle. She was also in Wildfire and Dark Angel for most of the series. - Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew)
Who’d have known that Captain Janeway would become Red in Orange Is the New Black? Kate has also appeared in Warehouse 13, The Black Donnellys and Mercy. - B’Elanna Torres (Roxanne Dawson)
Roxanna is now working behind the camera as a director for series such as the Agents od S.H.I.E.L.D., Bosch; Rake, Smash, The Mentalist, The Closer, and Heroes. - Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan)
Jeri has since appeared in shows such as NCIS, Arrow, and Helix but her most notable pieces of work are in the Body of Proof and Bosch. - T’Pol (Jolene Blalock)
Jolene had been doing well appearing in the movie Sex Tape and TV series such as House, CSI: Miami and even the Starship Troopers 3: Marauder movie. - Hoshi Sato (Linda Park)
Most recently appearing in Castle, Linda has been busy with appearances in NCIS, House, The Mentalist, Crash, Law & Order: SVU, Women’s Murder Club and Raines.
